Mathias Böswetter

blockchain and energy expert, philosopher

 

Mathias Böswetter is a digital strategist and project manager at the German Solar Association, the interest group of German solar energy industry with about 800 members. Mathias gathered extensive experience in national and international projects. He currently helps unlock the full potential of blockchain and distributed ledger technology for new business models and application cases within the increasingly decentralized and solar driven energy markets in Germany and abroad. He advised the German Federal Government and the German Ministry of Economic Affairs on blockchain and the possible contribution of this technology to the digital transformation of current energy systems.

With an academic background in philosophy and history, he aims to think in a larger context by addressing the social and political implications of new technological paradigms like blockchain and artificial intelligence.

Mathias Böswetter graduated from the University of Potsdam in 2013 with a magister degree in Philosophy and History, specialized in political theory and epistemology.
